Playful Hut
Playful Hut is reusable packaging designed for a large energy storage product. The packaging is made from biodegradable corrugated and honeycomb cardboard, which provides load bearing strength and cushioning during transport. Tongue-and-slot connections replace glue and plastic. Easy-tear perforations allow users to open hollow spaces and remove paper blocks, so the outer box becomes a playhouse and the inner tray becomes toy furniture. The box unfolds on four sides for easier handling. The aim is to reduce material waste and extend the useful life of packaging.
Playful Hut Interactive Packaging by Shenzhen Hello Tech Energy Co.,Ltd was identified as a creative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Playful Hut Interactive Packaging received the Golden A' Design Award in Sustainable Products, Projects and Green Design in 2025.
