KennaXu Gallery is an art gallery located in an old residential community in Shenzhen, China. The 223 square meter space was converted from a former residence with two narrow and dim floors. White is the dominant colour, creating a simple and inclusive backdrop that reveals the colour and composition of the exhibited paintings. Materials include latex paint, membrane, wooden flooring, ultra-clear glass, white tile and white stainless steel. Unusual windows bring in light and outdoor sounds, linking the gallery with daily life in the community.
