Longcheer Hotel

Longcheer Hotel is a seaside hotel building in Shenzhen, China. The design follows a long and narrow coastal site with a 470-meter coastline, and the terraces are combined with the surrounding mountains and sea. The main volume is set below the level of the urban road, so only four small pavilions rise to street level, spaced 40 meters apart, keeping the sea view open for people passing by. On the facade, every two room balconies form a rectangular cell. Silver-white aluminum panels and double-layer frosted glass with built-in lighting complete the units.

Cetacean

As a temporary and yet to be completed project. The cultural building is expected to be in Iceland as a travel destination. The bionic form of the whale tail and skeleton became the language of this building. The whole building is eco-friendly. All materials can be recycled and use natural light. Not only will the designers be creating architecture in yet another remarkable landscape, but they will also take part in increasing the understanding of whales and the preservation of marine life.

Greenbay

Greenbay is a homestay built in Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, China. The building stands among terraced tea fields, with views of the tea landscape to the south and the Sichuan-Tibet Railway to the north. The plan resembles a hexagonal snowflake and holds three areas: a public area, thirteen guest rooms and a logistics zone. A triangular outdoor atrium forms the central hub of the building. The interior uses wood with white and grey tones. Large transparent surfaces open the rooms to the tea fields and reduce the impact on the local ecology.

Xizhimen Port

Xizhimen Port is an apartment building in Beijing, China. The ten-story structure was built in the 1980s and later renovated for young urban tenants. The new facade is formed by aluminum window frames that project out from the exterior wall. The frames organize the exposed beams and columns of the original building and provide space for the air conditioning unit of each room. Inside each frame, the color shifts from orange at the top to pale yellow at the bottom. Added windows on the east and west walls increase daylight by 50 percent.

Hotel South Taihu

Hotel South Taihu is a resort hotel built on the east slope of Xiaomei Mountain, facing Taihu Lake. The main public area is arranged in an L shape and steps down with the terrain, following an existing zigzag mountain road. The lobby sits at the highest point of the building and meets the view of the lake through a rimless landscape pool. Guest room buildings are scattered across the hillside on both sides. Deep horizontal cornices, granite and rubble in the tones of Taihu stone help the buildings blend with the mountain forest.

House RG

RG House is a single family residence located in Teresina, Brazil. The house covers 310 square meters on two floors. The ground floor holds the garage, the living and dining rooms, a gourmet space, a swimming pool, the kitchen, a guest bedroom and a service area. Two suites and a master bedroom are placed on the upper floor. The west, east and south facades carry a composition of lines made of black composite aluminum. These lines act as a brise soleil and reduce sunlight and heat inside the house. LED profiles make the pattern visible at night.

White Rose

White Rose English School is a school for children to learn English conversation. By making the roads on the school grounds one-way, cars can enter and exit smoothly, and congestion on the front road will be alleviated. The façade is designed in a semi-circle rather than a full circle, showing the possibilities of English learning that can connect children to their future and the world. The shape of the protruding slabs on the façade expresses the energy and liveliness of children. Through the characteristic large semi-circular window, you can see the children happily running around.

Songpingshan

Songpingshan is a fire station in Shenzhen, China. The Grade-1 station has a plot area of 3,660.1 square meters and a gross floor area of 5,791.64 square meters, and it holds seven fire trucks. An inner courtyard layout reduces the noise from the avenue on the north side. The fire garage, entrance hall, canteen and communication room are placed on the first floor. Duty preparation rooms, operation rooms and auxiliary rooms occupy the upper floors. Visitor routes pass along a mezzanine corridor, so daily training and duty routes are not disturbed.

The Krakow Tenement

The Krakow Tenement House near the Wawel Royal Castle defines a completely new quality of the Vistula embankments. This building is extremely innovative and very Krakow-like at the same time. It has a dynamic and variable style depending on the observer's location, which directly refers to the context of the place, the historical castle and its surroundings. It takes advantage of the technological potential of the times, but at the same time, it is durable and timeless since it is rooted in tradition.

Union Industrial

Union Industrial is a corporate headquarters building designed for a company that produces electronic components. The exterior is covered by a curtain wall of stainless steel perforated plates, which recall printed circuit board imagery and the corporate logo. The metal curtain shades the interior, while people inside can still sense outside light and weather. Three layers of fluorocarbon baking paint give the plates a bright and weather-resistant finish. A central patio brings sunlight to every floor. The entrance rain shed carries a scannable code and solar panels.

Asty Garak is a high-end compact residence that responds to lifestyle changes in Korea. Urban Garden

Urban Garden is a residential villa designed for a narrow rectangular plot in a dense neighbourhood. The plot measures 460 square metres and the built area is 1420 square metres. The villa rises as a vertical volume and uses its facades as screens to create privacy. Skylights, openings, shallow water pools, a green wall and a small basement garden bring light, air and greenery inside. The main volume is made of concrete clad in grey stone. Black marble marks the front and back entrances. The interior is arranged as an open plan with views between the floors.
