Anchor and Sail Residential House

Anchor and Sail

Anchor and Sail is a residential interior design of 230 square meters in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Ocean and cruise ship motifs guide the layout, materials, fixtures and color scheme. The original ceiling height is kept, and a yellow-painted wire mesh covers the pipes and steel beams. The windows are lowered to widen the view. Ginger tones, wood, leather seats and warm lighting reflect the brand image.

Grasp the Light Residence

Grasp the Light

Grasp the Light is a residential interior design completed in Taiwan for a forty-year-old house. The narrow and long building was dark and poorly ventilated, so a glass roof was added to draw daylight into the interior. A solid wood book wall follows the cathedral ceiling and extends to the first floor, where steel frames and glass treads replace the original stairs. Cabinets on both sides divide the areas instead of partitions and keep the space open. A hallway on the second floor links the home to the villa next door, where relatives live. Cedar, cypress, granite and brick are used.
