Grasp the Light

Grasp the Light is a residential interior design completed in Taiwan for a forty-year-old house. A solid wood book wall follows the cathedral ceiling and extends to the first floor, where steel frames and glass treads replace the original stairs. Cabinets on both sides divide the areas instead of partitions and keep the space open. A hallway on the second floor links the home to the villa next door, where relatives live. Cedar, cypress, granite and brick are used.
